• Site and majority of jobs secured
  • Socially acceptable job cuts achieved
  • Reconciliation of interests and social plan agreed

The management and works council of A+F Automation und Fördertechnik GmbH have agreed on the key points of a future concept with the aim of securing the site with competitive capacities and optimised organisational and cost structures.

The agreement, which is supported by both sides, provides for the Kirchlengern site to be oriented towards an employment figure of around 100 employees. In addition to the personnel measures, the shareholders have provided further financial resources to improve the productivity of the site.

The reduction of jobs is carried out in a socially acceptable manner and takes appropriate account of the occupational and living situation. Among other things, A+F provides a transfer company for the employees leaving the company. The transfer company has the task of qualifying these employees and placing them in new jobs. The transfer company will run for 12 months.

"The negotiations were conducted in a constructive dialogue. With the agreed overall package we are in a position to implement the necessary restructuring measures and largely cushion them socially. We are confident that the agreed restructuring and changes will make it possible to secure the Kirchlengern site and orient it towards the future," says Sebastian Jost, Managing Director of A+F.
